Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter - 2010 Tidal Downloads

• The 2010 tidal data is now available for download to update tidal data within the Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter 2009.
• A TidalDownload update application together with the appropriate Chart Pack tides file(s) can be downloaded as shown below

An alternative to downloading the 2010 tidal data is to purchase the Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter Edition 7 (2010) version for any relevant chart pack area(s). This will automatically update all your charts with the 2010 tidal data.

Step by Step Instructions

1. The Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter 2009 must already be installed on your PC.
2. The Tidal Download update application must be downloaded to a folder (or desktop) on your PC – click on the link below and save the application to this folder.

3. The appropriate Chart Pack tides file must also be downloaded to the same folder (or desktop). Click on the relevant Chart Pack tides file(s), shown below, and save the file to the same folder as in step 2.

4. Once all your relevant files have been downloaded, go to the folder (or desktop) where they are saved and double click on the Tidal Download update application.
5. Click on the ‘Update’ button in the Tidal Download window. The application should start to process the Chart Pack tides file(s). As soon as the update has finished, the update button will change colour and the Master File year will change from 2009 to 2010. Click on the 'Exit' button.
6. When you run the Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter, tidal data will now be available for 2010.

Notes

1. It does not matter if more Chart Plotter areas are downloaded than the chart packs you already have available
2. Chart pack files range in size between 16 – 50 MBs, and may take several minutes to download over an average broadband connection
3. When the tidal information has been updated, the file AdmiraltyTidesFile.bin held in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\UKHORYA\Tides can be copied to another PC/laptop if required. If running Windows Vista the file will be held in C:\ProgramData\UKHORYA\Tides.
